Tiny Dancer

After a year of ballet, tap and jazz class......Leila had her first dance recital.  The day before the big event,  we went to dress rehearsal.  The show was at the Pantages Theater in Tacoma.  Leila was a little apprehensive about all of it at first  but in the end she did fantastic.

Happy Birthday Erin !!

For Erin's birthday this year we traveled up to Tacoma for a brunch prepared by Chris and Leila.  The only appropriate birthday cake at that time of the day was one of Erin's favorites......a maple bar.  So with candles lit~ Leila was Mommy's big helper!

Holmstrom Visit!

Last weekend we had the pleasure of meeting Elisabeth's new boyfriend, Sergio.  We all really enjoyed our time together and getting to know one another.

Anniversary #9

Jim and Portlandia

Jim surprised me with a dinner cruise on the Portland Spirit for our anniversary this year.   I have always wanted to do it but in all the years I've lived in Portland I never have.  I was not disappointed.

The weather was cloudy but not too cool.  

We had a little time before boarding so we took advantage of it and snapped  some pics.

Pre Mother's Day Visit

On the weekend before Mother's day, Erin & Leila came down for a visit.  We had a great weekend.
I have been wanting to take Leila to the Hillsboro Library which is just a few miles from where we live.  Jim and I finally got new library cards and Leila picked out books for us to read that evening before bed.  There is a really nice duck pond there so we took bread to feed the ducks.  

Leila loved running down the grassy hill pretending to be Laura Wilder from Little House on the Prarie!

We took the wagon and Grandad was elected to pull it around the duck pond.

We went over to Jon and Amanda's house and Jonny was called to work.

Celebrating 70 years of Marriage

On April 25, 1942 Jack & Ruth Prather were married.

           

On April 28, 2012 the family gathered together to celebrate!

           

The event was held at the First Christian Church in Madison, Kansas.
This is the church that Amy and Brian attend as well as the church that they were married in.

Everyone enjoyed visiting and being entertained by Nathan and Lydia.
